$3000 in Prizes for New Year's Day Race

Top Choice for Veterans; Works Great for First Timers

For the Washington Running Report

Save by signing up before race day.

This year the prizes for winners of the REHAU Rotary Resolution Race (a 10K race and a 4K fun run/walk) will be a total of $3000 of gift certificates to Caulkins Jewelers in Leesburg. Men and women's 10K winners will receive $150 gift certificates.

This race, in its 12th year, is the largest New Year's Day race in the DC area. This family-friendly community event features a competitive, ChronoTrack disposable D-Tag timed 10K race and a 4K fun run/walk through lovely Ida Lee and Morven Parks in the Leesburg countryside.

What could be a better race to start your racing year or even your racing career? First time racers flock to Capital Running Company timed races and this interesting course is a real winner no matter what the weather may turn out to be.

Approximately 800 participants enjoy:

Food & drinks (even better this year)

Last year's race had cider, hot coffee and cocoa as well as water. There were lots of great cookies and all the regular runner's foods.

Live entertainment

Last year's race featured a guitarist who knew how to draw in a crowd with regular favorites to please all ages.

Long sleeved shirts that you will look forward to wearing all year long.

$2000 in door prizes

Awards are in five year age groups, which make competitive racing much fairer.

Register online or get a printable/downloadable entry form and get all the information about the race from the detailed Featured Race page at the Capital Running Company Web Site. For even more information contact Carole Maloney at (703) 779- 1916.
