Army Ten-Miler Running Club Roundtable
By George Banker February 22, 2007 Washington, DC For the Washington Running Report
For the 2007 Army Ten-Miler, we are considering hosting a
Running Club Roundtable at the two-day Race Expo. The
Running Club Roundtable would be a fantastic opportunity
for your club representative to talk with and distribute
information to running enthusiasts from across the DC area.
About 50% of our runners are new to the sport and do not know
of the benefits that running clubs offer. The Running Club
Roundtable would be a chance for these runners to meet with
and join clubs that match their geographical location and
training goals. The new runners are seeking those clubs which will help them
progress within the sport. They are looking for education,
training, and the camaraderie of belonging to a group on those
short and long runs. This year's Army Ten-Miler will be held on Sunday, October 7,
2007. The two-day Race Expo will take place at the Crystal
Gateway Marriott in Crystal City, Arlington, VA on Friday and
Saturday, October 5-6. Space is limited but there is no charge for your club to
participate. If you are interested in joining the Running
Club Roundtable or have additional questions, please
contact Jamie Hagerbaumer at (202) 685-3361 or E-mail.
