The front line is set for the 12th Outback Steakhouse 8K on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. The race starts and finishes at Prince George's Plaza, 3500 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, MD (on the Metro Green Line). The USATF certified course has a couple of hills on an out and back layout modified since 2003.

The Outback Steakhouse 8K benefits Special Olympics of Prince George's County. There will also be an Outback 2 Mile fun walk and the Kids Corner features a moon bounce, face painting, and games. All participants are invited to a post-race brunch hosted by the Official Hospitality Sponsor, Outback Steakhouse. Groups interested in volunteering can call 301-985-5027. Be a part of the most competitive road race in Prince George's County and run with the best.

Late registration ($25) and packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at the Outback Steakhouse (3500 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, Md.), from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Save $5 and register on Saturday. Race day registration is $30 and will be held at the Food Court inside the mall at Prince George's Plaza from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

The race will utilize ChampionChip timing by Capital Running Company; the "clock time" will be used for all cash awards and the "chip time" for age group awards.

The top runners will share $7,500 in prize money and teams will split the $800 purse (top four coed teams only). Also, prize money will be awarded to the fastest male and female in age groups 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 & over.

There will be a $100 Bonus for any new event records:
