Experts Offer Inspiration and Advice at Speaker's Symposium

The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) announces the line up for the 2005 Speaker Symposium, part of the MCM Runners' Expo on Friday October 28 and Saturday October 29 at the DC Armory. Runners, spectators and the general public can prepare for the October 30, 2005 event with advice from Olympian Jeff Galloway; the Clif Team Pacers; Arlington chiropractor Dr. Michael Moses; Northern Virginia resident and founder of See Mommy Run, Andrea Vincent, as well as other inspirational speakers.

About the Speakers:
* Jeff Galloway: former US Olympian and creator of the walk- run, low mileage marathon training program. * Dawna Stone: publisher and founder of Her Sports Magazine.
* Darris and Star Blackford: ClifBar Team Pacers, regularly leading groups of registered runners to their goals on the course.
* Nick Irons: award-winning author, professional speaker, personal trainer, and the first person in 70 years to swim the Mississippi River.
* Dr Michael Moses: chiropractor in the DC Area. A marathoner, himself, he offers advice on safe marathoning and efficient recovery.
* Andrea Vincent: founder of the national running group See Mommy Run, a network of women who train together and incorporate motherhood into a fit and active life.
* Rick Nealis: Marine Corps Marathon Race Director since 1993. Nealis is a marathoner and retired Marine.
* Dan Clark: former Marine and Massachusetts State Trooper, Clark performs in excess of 240 events annually including kicking off the 2005 MCM with his rendition of the National Anthem. The Marine Corps Marathon continues a combined tradition of dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism. Since its inception, over 300,000 civilian and military runners from all walks of life have participated, deservingly earning the event its nickname "The People's Marathon."
