"Run Away to Bermuda Package" with Women's Sports Pioneer Kathrine Switzer
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Bermuda invites fitness enthusiasts to a weekend of motivational fitness classes with Kathrine Switzer, "sportswoman of the century," during Bermuda Race Weekend, the island's marathon. The mild Bermuda climate creates ideal running and walking conditions and whether a runner, a walker, or a spectator, guests will experience the Bermuda Marathon weekend events in style while staying at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess or the Fairmont Southampton. The hotels, together with Marathon Tours, will host guests for the long weekend of events and activities.

Fairmont guests will get the exclusive opportunity to receive running tips from Kathrine Switzer. Ms Switzer's experience in 1967 marked one of the all-time iconic images in sports history, an image that Time-Life has called one of the "100 Photos that Changed the World." The first woman to "officially" run the Boston Marathon and author of the best-selling Marathon Woman, Ms Switzer will share advice with fitness enthusiasts during inspirational fitness clinics. The Run Away to Bermuda Package includes three nights of deluxe accommodations at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess or the Fairmont Southampton, a welcome reception, a welcome gift, breakfast, transportation to the marathon festivities, and motivational fitness clinics led by Ms. Switzer. The package will be offered from January 18 through 20, 2008. The package is available from $519 per person, double occupancy.

For guests interested in taking in the natural beauty of Bermuda at a more leisurely pace, the Fairmont Southampton offers the Walk Bermuda Package. This four-night package includes daily walking tours, island dining and entertainment, and ample free time to hit the links for a round of golf or relax at the Willow Stream Spa. Walking tours include an exploration of the island's West End with the Dockyard to Fairmont Walk, the South Shore with the "Round de Beaches" tour, Spittal Pond Nature Reserve tour, and the Race Weekend 10K Walk and Run. This package is available from January 17 through 20, 2008, and rates start at $849 per person, double occupancy.

Guests who book through Fairmont's partner, Marathon Tours, are also invited to take part in one or all of the Bermuda Triangle Challenge events, which consists of the Front Street Mile on Friday, the 10K Walk/Run on Saturday, and the Half or the Marathon on Sunday. The marathon route, which offers runners a stunning ocean view dotted with palm trees, is not to be missed. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts provides the exclusive opportunity to train with a world-class athlete, run in one of the world's most picturesque marathons, and take in the natural beauty of Bermuda.

With complimentary ferry service between the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and the Fairmont Southampton, guests can stay at one and play at two of Bermuda's most luxurious hotels. Guests may upgrade to Fairmont Gold for an additional $120 per night. Each package includes applicable taxes, gratuity and resort levy. For reservations or more information, please call (800) 441- 1414 or see www.fairmont.com. Packages may also be booked through Marathon Tours at www.marathontours.com or (617) 242-7845.
