Top photo: On Saturday, Bill Rodgers spoke on running and signed autographs at the Expo. Sunday morning he stepped up to the starting line and ran 1:02:55 for third in the men's 55-59 age group.

Next photo: A last minute treat - 31-year-old Catherine Ndereba, who trains in the Philadelphia area, arrived for the race and placed second. Two weeks later, Ndereba claimed the women's title in the Boston Marathon.

Third photo: Lee Dipietro, 45 of Ruxton, MD finished as the second masters women with a 1:01:15. Dipietro also travelled to Boston and placed as the second American woman in the Boston Marathon.

Brooks Grossinger (#11511), 26, travelled from Maple Grove, MN to finish 39th in 55:33.
