The Finish of the PACE 5K Run
Top photo: Quince Orchard High School cross country coach Stephen Marjkrzak, age 26 of Olney, MD, placed second in 17:13. He ran the first mile with Jason Dwyer before the race winner ran away. Marjkrzak rarely races locally but his team undoubtedly benefits from the guidance of a fast athlete.

Second photo: Jordan Hantman, age 23 of Rockville, rounded the final turn and finished in 27:26. Emily Hathaway, age 22 of Bethesda, and Gary Palmer, age 60 of Rockville, finished the 5K a few strides later.

Third photo: Meghan Shaver (left), age 27 of Pasadena, MD, and Alexia Bourgerie, age 38 of Gaithersburg, greeted the finish line with a smile after 28 minutes of running.

Raising Awareness in the Neighborhood
Top photo: Marc Hyman, age 40 of Olney, and Mary Marchal, age 24 of Washington, ran for thirty minutes and finished the race.

Second photo: Robyn Gault, age 48 of Gaithersburg, recently opened a running store. Her running partner on the course was Lawrence Rosenblum (51) and they finished in 31:39. Ed Wilgus, age 47 of Centreville, VA, crossed the finish with them.
