Sun Valley/Ketchum (ID) U.S. Half Marathon on May 24

The 4th Annual Sun Valley/Ketchum US Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, May 24 in the famed resort area of Sun Valley/Ketchum, ID. Join the
Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau (SVKCVB) and the US Race
Series for this healthy community event. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles), 12K (7.46 miles) or Half Marathon. The event also includes a Kids MaraFUN, sponsored by Blaine County Title, for ages 4-9.
The weekend kicks off with packet pick up on Friday, May 23 at the Sun
Valley Inn from 4:00 through 7:00 pm. The race starts at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 24 in Sun Valley Village. Over 500 runners will compete, including a handful of elite runners from Idaho and surrounding states. The picturesque 13.1-mile loop course runs from Sun Valley Village through Elkhorn and Ketchum using much of the Wood River Valley bike path. The finish line festival in Sun Valley Village runs until 12:00 p.m. and features music, food and beverages and the race awards ceremony. The title sponsor for the event is Sanofi Aventis, and the run is part of the Prostate
Awareness Council on Education (PACE) Race Series. The event is produced
in partnership with the SVKCVB and race sponsorship is provided by Blaine
County Title, St. Lukes Wood River Medical Center, Premier Resorts,
Elephant's Perch, Atkinson's Market, Shu's Idaho Running Company, Sun
Valley Online, Smith Optics, Clif Bar and the Sun Valley Resort. The Sun
Valley Resort is offering a special lodging rate starting at $115 per person
