Registration for Sold-Out Marine Corps Marathon Opens for Exclusive Hotel Palomar Charity Package

While registration for the sold-out 33rd Annual Marine Corps
Marathon closed in May (the five day sell-out was the second
fastest in event history), athletes can still register, run,
and raise funds for a great cause by booking the 'Go the
Distance' package at the four-star Hotel Palomar Arlington,
located just steps from the Marine Corps Marathon's finish line.For every 'Go the Distance' package booked, Hotel Palomar
Arlington will donate $100 to the Navy Marine Corps Relief
Society - a nonprofit organization that provides financial and
educational support to Navy and Marine Corps members, family
and survivors. "This marathon is one of the nation's most
exciting races, and it happens right here in our own backyard,"
says General Manager Sholeh Kia. "We're thrilled to be able to
support an important community organization while presenting a
one-of-a-kind opportunity to our guests." Priced at $610 per booking, the "Go the Distance" package
includes:
* Two night stay in deluxe accommodations at the hotel
* One registration entry for Marine Corps Marathon
* Metro pass for one to marathon's starting line (just two
stops from hotel)
* Energy gels and nutritional snacks to help runners reach peak
performance
* Complimentary use of yoga mat for stretching during stay
This package is based on availability, single occupancy and
does not include tax. It requires a two-night minimum stay
between Friday, October 24 and Monday, October 27. Package
must be booked by September 25, 2008.
