For the Washington Running Report

This year's 6th Annual Virginia Duathlon moves to Fort Story in Virginia Beach's North End on April 1, 2007. The event begins at 9:00 AM with a 5K run followed by a 32K bike stage, capped off with another 5K run. The Virginia Duathlon has been selected to be a 2007 USAT Short Course National Championship Qualifier and a 2007 USAT Short Course Duathlon World Championship Qualifier. The event is limited to 600 athletes.

A festive post race party with BBQ and adult beverages is also planned. The top finishers in team and individual divisions will receive the popular hand made decoy awards.

Event festivities including packet pick up will be held at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center, the Virginia Duathlon official host hotel.
