Rails-to-Trails Conservancy
Town Hall on Active Transportation

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC), in
partnership with the District Department of Transportation
(DDOT) and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), is
hosting a town hall meeting in your community on February 25, 5-
7 p.m.* We will share plans to promote "active transportation"
(trails, walking and biking) and give you the opportunity to
get involved in local efforts.Washington, DC, is engaged in the 2010 Campaign for Active
Transportation, RTC's effort to bring $50 million in federal
funds to the District, and the same amount to dozens of
communities nationally. Our goal is to make it safer and more
convenient to walk, bike and take transit to get around town.
We will share more about these exciting plans at the meeting.
RTC President Keith Laughlin, Vice President of Policy Kevin
Mills, Policy Outreach Manager Kartik Sribarra and other staff
from the organization's national office will be available to
talk with you and answer questions. Please join us!

When: February 25, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Why: To learn about and coordinate efforts to make the District
a better place to live, work and play through more trails,
