traditions, the Capital Challenge Three Mile, according to race
director, Jeff Darman. The event will continue to benefit D.C.
Special Olympics.
The traditional battle among the legislative, executive and
judicial branches and the news media will be waged in
Washington, D.C.'s Anacostia Park on Wednesday, May 5th. In
the past teams have been captained by Senate Majority Leader
Bill Frist and Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, former OMB
Director Mitch Daniels, and former Vice President Al Gore. In
addition, many more members of Congress, political appointees,
federal judges, and noted print and broadcast journalists take
part.
"We are pleased and proud to sponsor this excellent event, which
promotes health and fitness. The members of Congress,
presidential appointees and members of the news media
participating set a terrific example for all of us to get and
stay in shape " said Frank Keating, ACLI's president and chief
executive officer.
