The Australian born rock group INXS will headline the 7th annual Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon post-race concert on Sunday, September 2, 2007. In conjunction with the Verizon Wireless American Music Festival, more than 20,000 runners, walkers, and music fans from around the world will celebrate their race-day accomplishments at the beachfront party.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with an opening performance at 6:30 p.m. Concert festivities will feature a special half marathon awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. followed by INXS at 8:45 p.m. (Concert times are subject to change).

All Rock 'n' Roll Marathon participants and volunteers receive free entry into the headliner concert, as well as all Verizon Wireless American Music Festival concerts. Race participants gain entry by presenting their race number at the door. Additional tickets can be purchased for $25 online (until August 24) at the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon web site (click on souvenirs), at the Health & Fitness Expo on August 31 and September 1, and at the gate.

Throughout the 80s and into the 90s INXS was a consummate global rock band. With a career spanning almost 30 years, the band has performed before millions earning 17 Billboard hits, seven of which were top tens. INXS recorded six consecutive Top Ten UK and US albums and has received seven MTV awards and three Grammy nominations.

In 2005, the band participated in "Rock Star: INXS," a TV search for a new lead singer. The series was a worldwide ratings success and in 2005 their newest album SWITCH was released. The album has sold more than a million copies while the band's SWITCH Tour has played to audiences around the world.
