Frederick Half-Marathon Sells Out For First Time

Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that the 2008
Half-Marathon at the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Frederick
Running Festival has sold out for the first time. A waiting
list for entry into the half-marathon has begun and people will
be entered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Overall registration is up 140 percent compared to this time
last year. All the other races are close to selling out and to
date the event has a record 3,500 participants. Those wishing
to participate in the Running Festival are encouraged to sign
up quickly as space is limited. For more information or to

The sixth annual CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Frederick
Running Festival will take place May 3-4 and features fives
races: marathon, half-marathon, four-person relay, The Gazette
5K, and the new kids' fun run. There will also be a Health and
Fitness Expo that will serve as the place for registration and
packet pick-up. Everything, including the start and finish of
each race, will take place at the Frederick Fairgrounds, which
marks a new location for the event.
