Announces Official Sponsors for 2008

The third annual Nation's Triathlon To Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society announced its official sponsors for the 2008 triathlon, which will take place Sunday, September 14, 2008 in the nation's capital. Official Sponsors include: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, JetBlue, UnitedHealthcare, Timex, and the Renaissance Hotel. According to Charles Brodsky, founder of The Nation's Triathlon, "We thank our 2008 official sponsors for helping to elevate The Nation's Triathlon into one of the most significant triathlons in the nation. As our event and sponsorship continue to grow, we look forward to becoming America's top triathlon in the country, offering athletes a world class course and triathlete race experience."

The Nation's Triathlon announces the return of UnitedHealthcare as the Official Healthcare Provider. The UnitedHealthcare Sports and Fitness Expo is a two-day event that takes place September 12-13, 2008 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel at 999 Ninth Street, NW. The Expo will feature merchandise, race gear, refreshments, and the new Fitness and Wellness seminar series featuring sessions on holistic health, injury prevention, life wellness, nutrition, triathlon lifestyle balance, and other topics. Timex joins The Nation's Triathlon in 2008 as the Official Time Keeper. The Timex Timing Zone will be hosted at the JetBlue Airways Finish Festival where participants will be able to check their results. The Top 3 finisher in each age group as well as the fastest swimmer, biker, and runner will receive the latest Timex watches at the awards ceremony. The Nation's Triathlon to Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is an Olympic distance triathlon that includes a 1.5K swim in the Potomac River, 40K bike course through downtown D.C., and a 10K run along Washington, DC's monumental corridor.
