Atayne Welcomes Run for One Planet
An Inspiring 1-Year, 11,000-mile Journey

Actor and national speaker arrive in DC area to encourage
environmental action.
Atayne, a newly launched company created to inspire positive
environmental and social change through the power of sports and
active lifestyles, will host a free Run for One Planet event
celebrating an amazing 11,000-mile journey created to encourage
environmental action. Run for One Planet co-founders, actor Matt Hill (Shanghi
Nights) and national speaker Stephanie Tait, are running across
North America to educate people on environmental issues and
encourage people to act. Atayne will welcome Hill and Tait as
they arrive in Arlington on November 19th by hosting a 6:00
p.m. Run for One Planet event at the Potomac River Running
store's Ballston location. The 11,000-mile run began May 4th in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Thus far, Hill and Tait have run one marathon per day, enduring
terrible weather, mudslides and injuries. To date, the duo has
covered 4,305 miles, raising $53,500 and inspiring more than
2,500 new actions for earth. By the time they finish their run
around the continent, Run for One Planet will have completed
422 marathons. Run for One Planets goals are to inspire one million people to
commit to one new environmentally friendly habit and raise one
million dollars. All funds raised will act as seed money for
eco-system enhancement initiatives at the grassroots level in
communities throughout North America. Tait and Hill state, "It
is our vision that the daily action of us running for one year
will inspire others to take action to help the environment; one
person, one action, one step at a time." "All of us at Atayne find Matt and Stephanie's journey
incredibly inspiring and vitally important," said Jeremy
Litchfield, president/CEO of Atayne. "Their cause is in
perfect concert with everything Atayne stands for - positive
environmental and social change. Atayne is honored to welcome
them as they arrive in the DC area, and grateful that we can
host such a great event at the Potomac River Running store." The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th with a Run for
One Planet presentation and Q&A, followed by a 6:30 p.m. half-
hour fun run from the store to the WO&D/Custis Trail. The run
will be led by Hill and Tait. Those not interested in the run
can remain in the store. The event will culminate with a 7:00
p.m. socializing, networking opportunity back at the Potomac
River Running store. The free event is open to the general

On the 19th, Atayne will donate 10% of all store sales on
Atayne tops to Run For One Planet. The Potomac River Running
store's Ballston location is at 3924 Wilson Boulevard in
Arlington, across the parking lot from Gold's Gym.
