For the Washington Running Report

The two returning champions, Alisa Harvey (team Pacers) , a four-time Army Ten-Mile (ATM) winner and the master's record holder (59:00) is set to defend her title against a competitive field on Sunday. Harvey among her many accomplishments is the USA Track & Field 2005 Female Masters Athlete of the Year.

Jared Nyamboki (Team Foot Solutions) will defend his title and will attempt to chase down the 47:32 set by three-time winner Dan Browne in 2004.

This year will prove to be the most competitive field in years and there will be excitment across all divisions. Army military units from around the world will be going after the Commander's Cup for both male and female to go home with the bragging rights.

The 23rd edition of America's largest 10-mile running event takes place on Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Washington, DC. The Association of the US Army (AUSA) and KBR are the co-lead sponsors for this year's event.
