Help Make Wishes Come True at The 18th Annual Make-A-Wish Sea Colony Triathlon

Spend a weekend at the beach and help make wishes come true! The 18th annual Make-A-Wish Sea Colony Triathlon will be held September 22, 2001 in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, a non- profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children fighting life- threatening illnesses. The race includes a 1.5K (.9 mile) ocean swim, 36K (21.7 miles) bike and 10K (6.2 miles) run. In addition to individual competition, there is also a relay division. The ocean swim and scenic bike and run routes make for a popular event that has been listed among the "Top 10 Races for a Cause" in the nation. This is a USATriathlon sanctioned swim-bike-run competition for up to 1,000 athletes.

For information on sponsorship, participation and volunteer opportunities, please contact Trish Hynes at (301) 962 - 6500 or phynes@wish.org.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc. is a non- profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children fighting life-threatening illnesses. Founded in 1983, the Foundation has fulfilled the wishes of more than 3,200 children from Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.
