Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis today announced its opening in December 2006, located at 318 6th Street in Annapolis (just across the Eastport bridge from historic downtown Annapolis).

Annapolis area runners, walkers and fitness seekers can now get the highest quality shoes, apparel and accessories as well as expert fitting and advice at the new Fleet Feet Sports. Scott and Marty Broerman, owners of the new Fleet Feet Sports, bring their own running and fitness experience to the community. They are local people with local ties. Marty is a 1991 Naval Academy Graduate and Scott a United States Navy retiree. Marty has an extensive running background and was a qualifier and participant in the 2000 Olympic trials in Sacramento, CA. They have wanted and pursued a Fleet Feet franchise since 1999 and are now realizing their dream of having a retail business that can also contribute and give back to the community. "We are excited and fortunate to have such an opportunity", says Scott. "The best times in my life were spent here and I call this home. Running is what we do, so when we decided to open our own store, there was no question that it would be Fleet Feet.
