Westridge Elementary School is pleased to announce the first annual Westridge Knights on the Run 1K Family Fun Walk and 5K Run. The run will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 and will begin and end at the school. The run/walk's route will take participants on a scenic jaunt through the leafy Westridge neighborhood. The 1K Walk begins at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K run begins at 8:30 a.m.

A registration fee of $20 to register for the 5K before October 5 includes a t-shirt, refreshments, and a chance to win prizes. Awards for the 5K will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group. All 5K finishers 18 and under will receive a one-of- a-kind Westridge participation medal.

Registration forms can be downloaded from www.pwcs.edu/westridge. Completed forms and checks can be dropped off at the school or mailed to Westridge Elementary School, 12400 Knightsbridge Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22192

Westridge Elementary School continues to promote Physical Fitness, Academic Excellence, and School Spirit. This event brings the school and community together to engage in fun exercise. The proceeds from the race will be used to purchase equipment to enrich the educational environment of the students.
