2. Martha Merz (45) of Annandale was the consensus pick to win the masters division. Here she warms up early before the race.


3. Eric Makovsky (34) of Washington, DC does it all. He sang the National Anthem before the race. Then he holds off racing legend and top ranked masters finisher Mark Stickley (45) of Winchester, VA for fifth overall in 34:14.

2. Michael Wardian (33) of Arlington, VA hit the halfway point in tandem with the leader but got edged out of the top spot in the final half mile.
