REHAU Rotary Resolution 10K Adventure Race
- 01-01-10 REHAU Rotary Resolution 10K & 4K Fun Run/Walk (Leesburg, VA)
The 2010 event will be canceled.
Because of the historic snowstorm of December 19th and the nature of the race course (cross-country/mostly unpaved through Ida Lee and Morven Parks), we have reluctantly cancelled this year's race. Considering the date, January 1st, in the middle of winter, we were probably overdue for this. It is the first time we have had to cancel the race in 13 years. Those of you familiar with the course will undoubtedly agree that, barring an unexpected stretch of spring weather, the course will still be very dangerous on January 1.All money paid by runners will be returned. Fortunately, almost $20,000 of sponsorship money will be distributed to charities, raising our total to about $200,000 for the 13 years.
For additional information, call the race directors Chuck and Carole Maloney at (703) 779-1912.
We are sorry to disappoint you this year. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
