- Norton Compton (51) of Fairfax, VA makes mincemeat of the grandmaster 20K record in 1:17:20.
- Michael Arrowsmith (#606) of Ashburn, VA holds off a spirited charge by Daniel Carter (#1260) of Purcellville, VA.
- Richard Adams Jr (55) of Herndon, VA dogged division winner Mick Slonaker the whole race, finishing one place back in the 10K with 38:29.

- New to the division Allen Vaughan (55) of Stafford, VA upsets last year's division winner Jay Wind by only a few strides in 1:28:14.
- R Baldwin (40) of Vienna, VA leads his charges up the final hill in the 10K.
- Raphael Boit (37) of Eldoret Kenya finishes third overall in a submasters course record 1:07:25.

- Karsten Brown (#176) played the clown later in the evening showing up at a DCRRC race with a cane. Right now this Front Royaler edges out Charles Bowles (24) of Boyce, VA by a second in 1:18:57.
- Ashley Clark (28) of Alexandria, VA cracks the top twenty at the 20K in 1:32:49.
- Eighth place Michael Colucci (32) was the top dog for Leesburg, VA, finishing the 20K in exactly an hour and a quarter.
