Think the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K is only about racing? Think again. It is about fun, excitement and people, including celebrities, wanting to change their lifestyles, keep fit, and test their mettle not only against others but most importantly against themselves.

For Rohan Marley, athlete and son of the legendary Bob Marley, the Reggae Marathon event is definitely a challenge that he wants to embrace. Marley, who is also an entrepreneur, will be the feature athlete in an upcoming episode of the television series Endurance Traveler, set to air on the Travel Channel next spring.  The crew will be joining him at his coffee plantation in the Blue Mountains before heading to Negril's white sand beaches to follow him and hundreds of other athletes as they pound the ground to hot Reggae sounds during the event.

Rohan Marley is "very excited to be a part of the Reggae Marathon event" and has already begun his 10 week training program to ensure that he is in race-ready form come December 5, 2009 in Negril.

Reggae Marathon organizers have also advised that this year's Victory Party at West End's MX3, is set to sizzle with popular Reggae Artistes Etana and  AliC in addition to the Cultural HotSteppa Drummers and Dancers.  Tickets for non participants will be available to the public at the Reggae Marathon Registration at Couples Swept Away December 3rd & 4th. Reggae Runners enjoy this party included in their Entry to the event.
