Top photo: It was a group effort to the finish line for (left to right) Mauricio Ayala, 15 of Sterling, David Poole, 36 of Sterling, and Lea Ann Wittrock, 37 of Vienna. They finished the 10K course in 46:15.
Second photo: 35-year-old John Bauer of Arlington stepped lively on his way to a fine 42:57 effort.
Third photo: Mary Mitchell (#436), 27 of Ashburn, and age group winner (55-59) Catherine Van Brocklin (#221), 57 of Gaithersburg, finished their runs in 48:50 and 48:48. Congratulations Catherine!

First photo: The fun run of .911 Miles started with enthusiasm expressed by children and adults eager for a short stroll.
Second photo: Amy Coufal (#166), 25 of Centreville and Gertrud Brown (#327), 42 of Sterling, pumped it in to the finish area with 49:13 on the clock.
Third photo: With a final burst of speed, 36-year-old Kenneth Marino (left) of Sterling drew even at the finish with Todd Thurlow (#597), 34 of Ashburn - their clock time was 45:54.
