Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K entries top 30,000

The Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K presented by POWERade topped the 30,000-mark in total entries received. The event is on pace to surpass last year's record of 32,745 participants by the end of this week. The Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K set for Saturday, March 27 will accept 35,000 entries.
More than 1,200 youth runners ages 5-12 have registered for the First Market Mile Kids Run, which is also on pace to surpass the record 1,832 who entered last year.
Registration is still open for the 2010 Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K and a total of 35,000 registrants will be accepted. The registration fee is $30 through March 1. The First Market Mile Kids Run costs $15 through March 1. The fee for both events increases $5 beginning March 1. Registration is available online at www.sportsbackers.org.
