The Washington RunHers, a club dedicated to promoting women's running in the Washington metropolitan area, is reintroducing their six-week spring "Hills & Drills" training program on March 27, 2010. This fun spring program is designed to help participants shake the winter running doldrums and reenergize their training as the weather turns warm and inviting. The Hills & Drills workouts are geared for female runners of all abilities and will include drills, pick-ups, hill repeats, resistance, and strength training. The program will be coached by the RunHers' popular, long-time coach, Al Logie.
The Hills & Drills workouts will be held Saturday mornings from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., rain or shine, at Herndon High School. The program cost is $50. This is a one-time, non-refundable fee for members of the Washington RunHers. Prospective participants who are not sure the program is right for them are encouraged to come to the first workout on March 27, 2010 to give it a try.
Prospective participants may find out more or get a program application by visiting the Washington RunHers Unlimited's Facebook page or by sending an e-mail to Betsy Conner.
