For the Washington Running Report
The Heritage Half Marathon & 5K on October 3rd start time is at 7:00 AM and will take runners through the scenic Northern Virginia communities around and beyond Gainesville and Haymarket. The Expo is going to be a great event on October 2nd with plenty of vendors and massage therapy available.
We are happy to announce the presenting sponsor for the event: Haymarket Physical Therapy and Chiropractic. By having them on board as the presenter all of the athletes will benefit from the vast information they will provide not only leading up to the race but during the Expo and Post Race as well. Look for more information on the race Web site.
Training for the Marine Corps Marathon: This is a perfect race to include in your Marine Corps Marathon training program. With a location close to the site of the MCM, the temperature, elevation, and humidity will closely resemble what you will see 4 weeks later
5K makes this a Perfect Family Event: Bring everyone out for the race. The Heritage 5K starts at the same location as the half and follows the same route for the first 1.55 miles. This course is entirely on Heathcote Boulevard and is flat and fast. The course is great for the entire family as well as an awesome race to set a PR.
