Now in its 18th year, the Navy Federal Credit Union 5K run/walk starts and finishes on their beautiful headquarters campus in Vienna, VA (the Navy FCU is located at 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180) with a course that meanders through town. MapQuest This race also offers runners post-race refreshments and entertainment, ChronoTrack, and random prizes.

ChronoTrack:
The race will be scored with the ChronoTrack race timing system. All participants are required to attach the D-tag to their shoe. The ChronoTrack system calculates your individual time from the time you cross the starting line (rather than when the clock starts running) to the time you cross the finish line, resulting in a net or "Tag" time for participants. Overall awards will be based on "clock" time and age group awards will be based on "Tag" or net time. The registration fee includes the rental cost of the ChronoTrack.

For optimal performance, the D-tag must be attached to the shoe in the proper manner. For instructions on properly using the D- tag, please click here.

Charity Beneficiary
This year's race will benefit the Committee for Helping Others (CHO). CHO was organized in 1969 by a group of concerned churches and individuals in the Dunn Loring, Merrifield, Oakton, Vienna community to provide simple, loving charity to those in need of goods and services they were unable to provide from themselves or obtain from government social service organizations. CHO is an all-volunteer organization operated by a board of directors comprised of representatives of each of the member organizations, elected officers, and no more than five directors-at-large. CHO has NO PAID staff members. Everyone who works for CHO is a volunteer. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this race will be given to CHO. For more information about the Committee for Helping Others, please visit their Web site at www.cho-va.com.

Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to make this race a big success. For more information on how you can help out, please contact Julia McNaney at (703) 206-4362 or by e-mail at Julia_McNaney@navyfederal.org.
