Both races start on the campus of The College of William & Mary, wind through Williamsburg’s Historic Area and finish at William & Mary’s Zable Stadium. The half marathon route takes runners on the scenic Colonial Parkway toward the James River before returning to the City of Williamsburg. A Race Expo will be held Friday and Saturday at Colonial Williamsburg’s Woodlands Conference Center. Colonial Williamsburg will serve as the official race hotels with special weekend rates at the Governor’s Inn and the Woodlands Hotel and Suites. Race information, online registration, and hotel booking information are available on the official Web site, www.RunforAchievableDream.com.

Proceeds from the Run for the Dream will benefit An Achievable Dream, a nationally recognized K-12 school dedicated to the belief that all children can learn and succeed regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds, and that education can break the cycle of poverty. The race will also benefit Wounded Warrior programs dedicated to assisting and advocating for the severely wounded, ill, and injured members and veterans of the armed forces and for their families.
