For the Washington Running Report
Fleet Feet Sports, Gaithersburg is planning “Montrail Day” at its Kentlands Downtown store on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Complete with a movie screening in the evening, the day will highlight Montrail shoes and sandals, and provide resources to athletes who enjoy trail running and ultra-distance running.
The highlight of our day will be at 6:30 p.m., when everyone is invited to a free screening of the movie “Unbreakable: the Western States 100” at the store. The movie follows the amazing journey of four of the greatest mountain runners on earth, as they run the 2010 Western States 100 mile endurance run, the oldest and most prestigious 100 mile foot race in the world. Popcorn and refreshments will be served, and there will be a prize drawing and giveaways from Montrail during the movie. Special discounts will be available that evening on Montrail products.
But the fun starts much earlier than movie time. The free weekly Saturday 9:30 a.m. Fun Run/Walk on Montrail Day will be hosted at the store by Mandi Tuite, the technical representative from Montrail. She will bring Montrail shoes for participants to “test drive” during the Fun Run/Walk and she will provide technical information about Montrail products. She will also bring giveaways and prizes from Montrail for participants, and refreshments will be provided after the Fun Run/Walk.
Throughout the day, Mandi will be on the sales floor to offer information about Montrail products, check customers’ FIT of Montrail shoes, and to be a resource for customers.
Reservations are not required for any of the above Montrail Day events, although a reservation is encouraged for the movie screening.
