Yuengling Extends Title Sponsorship of the Shamrock Marathon

The 37th Annual Yuengling Shamrock Marathon, which will be held March 21-22, 2009, has reached a record high 22,000 participants between its Marathon, Half Marathon, Towne Bank 8K, and Operation Smile Final Mile. All 50 states and 9 countries will be represented when the runner's approach the start line.
Race Director Jerry Frostick says, "Our goal at Shamrock has always been to put on the best event not just the biggest, the result and response has been overwhelming."
The race is also pleased to announce that they have partnered with Yuengling for another 3 years as the title sponsor of the race. Katherine Wylie, Marketing Manager commented, "Yuengling Brewing Company, celebrating our 180th Anniversary as America's Oldest Brewery, is pleased to be the title sponsor for the Shamrock Sportsfest Weekend. Under Jerry and Amy Frosticks guidance, the race has grown into a spectacular event and their concern for our Hampton Roads Community is unmatched. Yuengling Brewing Company is looking forward to continuing the relationship with them and the Shamrock for years to come."
