Washington RunHers Announce Summer Track Program

For the Washington Running Report

The Washington RunHers kick off their summer track program on Tuesday, May 4th at Washington & Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia. This unique track program is coached by Al Logie and John Rusinko. It is open to female runners of all abilities who are already running regularly who want to improve their running form, speed and fitness. The workouts are held every Tuesday from 6:15 - 8:00pm until the end of September. The program cost is $100. If you are not a club member there is an additional $17 fee for club membership.

If you want to learn more about the program, you are strongly encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Monday, May 3rd, at 7:00pm in the Club Room at The Gallery at Virginia Square, Arlington, VA. At this meeting you will hear first hand from the coaches on what to expect at the workouts and how it can help you reach your personal running goals. You can also talk to returning participants who will share their views on the program. Also, as a bonus to this meeting you will learn about the extreme world of running ULTRA Marathons from Dave Jones, a South African Ultra Runner.
