Marine Corps Marathon Unveils New Web Site for Half Marathon
Site Features Course Details, Free Virtual Trainer, Weekend Activities, and More!

Organizers of the Marine Corps Marathon have unveiled, the
official
web site for the inaugural Marine Corps Historic
Half. The new site features convenient site navigation,
comprehensive event information and exciting visuals for
runners, volunteers and spectators. Details and registration
for the new MCM Event Series, held aboard Marine Corps Base
Quantico, are also featured on the new site."MarineCorpsHistoricHalf.com offers the great services and
information runners have come to expect from the Marine Corps
Marathon website, with a focus on the new events being added to
the annual line up," explained Rick Nealis, Race Director. "The
new site will help spread the MCM message of health and fitness
in a user-friendly way to the half marathon audience." The new site offers a complete overview of critical content for
participants in the MCHH, to be held on May 18 in
Fredericksburg, VA, including a detailed course map, Packet
Pick-up information, highlights of local events like the Rock
the Block party and the MCHH Golf Tournament, the Healthy
Lifestyle Expo and more! The site also features links to the
Historic Half Apparel Store, photos, videos, plus the latest
news as part of the MCHH newsletter. By logging on, runners can participate in the free Virtual
Trainer, provided by New Balance, book their hotel and airfare,
or make plans for their weekend in Fredericksburg by checking
out exciting deals and special offers, designed specifically
for MCHH participants.
The Inaugural Marine Corps Historic Half will be held on May
18, 2008 in Fredericksburg, VA and is the first time in MCM
history that the organization will hold a running event outside
of traditional race weekend. Founded in 1976, Marine Corps
Marathon is currently the 4th largest marathon in the US and
the 7th largest marathon in the world. Known for a commitment
to excellence and impeccable organization, the Marine Corps
Marathon brings 32 years of planning experience to the creation
