Washington RunHers Announce Ten Mile Training Program
From the official press release August 2, 2004 Washington, DC For the Washington Running Report
The Washington RunHers is a introducing a ten-week training
program for the Army Ten Miler. The program starts on Sunday,
August 15th at 7:30am and will run until October 17th. The
program is designed for ladies who are already running regularly
who want to improve their previous ten-mile race time or who
have run a shorter race and want to move up to the 10 miler.
The Sunday runs will rotate between Belle Haven Marina Park just
south of Old Town Alexandria and Columbia Island Marina Park
just north of the 14th Street Bridge on the GW Parkway. The
training program is open to women runners of all abilities;
however, participants must be able to run 3-4 miles without
stopping in order to sign up. Complete program details are
