The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic has an immediate need for an experienced event planner on a short term contract basis to coordinate the Make-A-Wish Triathlon on September 24 in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The ideal candidate will have experience managing all aspects of a triathlon or similar event of 1,000 people or more. The event coordinator will manage pre-event registration and team setup; staff housing; coordination with vendors; event logistics with race director, timer, and DOT officials; and event resources with Make-A-Wish Staff. The event coordinator will also conduct post-event wrap up and donor acknowledgements. This two-month contract is available immediately, with the possibility of full-time permanent hire.
