Jimmy Hearld Has a Breakthrough Race
Jimmy Hearld placed second with a time of 2:12:51; his previous marathon best was 2:19. This Louisville, KY resident competed in the 2000 Cherry Blossom 10 Miler on the Potomac, where he finished 9th with current Reston resident Keith Dowling 10th. They were the top American finishers in 2000 and ran 47:59 and 48:01.
