Participants will rotate through three groups to experience:1. Podiatric sports medicine and computerized gait analysis;
2. Acupuncture; and
3. Massage therapy.
The workshops will be led by three professional women with
extensive years of practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan
area:
Ayne Furman, D.P.M., will be leading the workshop on sport
medicine, running shoes, orthotics and a demonstration of in-
shoe computerized gait analysis.
Marilyn Hyde, MAc, LAc, will discuss how acupuncture works; show
the tools of her trade. Address your real questions, "Just how
big are those needles?" and "Does acupuncture hurt?"
Diana Simonton, CMT, will demonstrate how Swedish massage,
myofascial release, and deep tissue massage work to address
acute injury and chronic pain.
