Register by February 21 for an Entry into the
Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run
The Montgomery Road Runners Club (MCRRC) will host the 46th Annual Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) National Convention April 2-6, 2003, at the DoubleTree Hotel, in Crystal City, Virginia. While the format for the convention will be similar as in past years, all convention details including registration and sponsorships should be made payable and sent to the MCRRC.

This year's convention invites club leaders and runners to attend the regularly scheduled business meetings, informative workshops, the Awards Banquet and the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run. The ever-popular two-day coaching certification training will also be offered but is not a part of the convention registration package. The convention will be held at the height of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, a springtime event that draws tourists from around the world. Runners will not want to miss an opportunity to run on our trails in and around the metropolitan area and take in the sites.

Convention Registration has a variety of options:

Full registration is $210, which includes all workshops, the annual meeting, social events and the Awards Banquet.

Saturday Only is $95 and includes workshops and meals.

Coaching Certification is $250, covers two days, and is limited to 30 students. Convention registration not required.

Meal Packages: A variety of meal packages are offered for specific events.

The Credit Union Cherry Blossom (CUCB) 10 Mile Run is offering a unique way for registered convention goers to get into this "closed" event. Those who register for the RRCA Convention by February 21 will receive a guaranteed race entry. You must check the box on the convention registration form to receive the entry and return it by March 8 to qualify. Buses will be provided to the CUCB Expo and Packet Pick-up on Saturday and to and from the race on Sunday.

Registration is available online or you may request a mail in registration form by calling (301) 353-0200. Checks should be made payable to the MCRRC or you may charge it to your Visa or Mastercard.

The DoubleTree Hotel, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA, is offering a special room rate of $105 single and $110 double occupancy (plus tax).
