2004 Marine Corps Marathon Original Artwork Contest

Submission Deadline January 30, 2004

Can Inspiration, Dedication, Endurance and Athleticism come from a work of art? The Marine Corps Marathon is looking for an original piece of artwork created especially for the 29th Annual Marine Corps Marathon.

The winning artwork will capture the determination and celebration of the marathon, combined with the artist's unique eye for creativity and inspiration. It will become the staple graphic of the 2004 race, appearing in programs, banners and promotional materials.

Guidelines for entering artwork:

  1. Must be an original piece of art, created for this competition only

  2. The artwork must contain all of the following:
    29th Annual Marine Corps Marathon
    October 31, 2004
    www.marinemarathon.com

  3. The artwork must arrive at the MCM offices no later than January 30, 2004

  4. The artwork must be sent on CD in an Adobe Photoshop file

  5. Marathon Address: MCM, PO Box 188 Quantico, VA 22134

Please note: The chosen artwork will become property of the Marine Corps Marathon and the MCM reserves the right to publish the artwork in any medium.

The winner of this contest will receive:
One complimentary entry into the 2004 MCM, $400 worth of MCM apparel and merchandise, mention in all appropriate MCM publications and press releases and samples of all mediums featuring the artwork (Race Program, Media Guide, Banners, etc.).
