From the Official Press Release July 12, 2004 Columbus, OH For the Washington Running Report
The 2004 PACE Race announced its 19-city race schedule today,
adding 14 new races for 2004. Each event consists of a 5K run
and walk, with proceeds going to raise awareness and funding to
fight prostate cancer on a local and national basis. "The expansion of our series of races is an indicator of the
importance of raising awareness and funds to fight prostate
cancer," said Mandy Deas, Director of Awareness Programs for the
Prostate Cancer Education Council. "We're excited about having
the ability to really touch thousands of people on a national
level." The PACE Race Series mission is to ultimately eliminate prostate
cancer by raising awareness and financial support for national
research and local screening and treatment. Major race locations
include Chicago, Columbus, Denver, New York, and Washington,
D.C. For a complete listing of races, please see attached chart

experience that will be directing a number of our PACE Races,"

races are directed by experienced staffs that care about the
cause." In 2003, the PACE Race series held events in New York, Denver,
