Richmond, VA
For the Washington Running Report

The Richmond Sports Backers are pleased to present the 2nd annual design contest to select artwork to be used on t-shirts and posters for the 2005 Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k, to be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005. The Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k is currently the 5th largest 10k in the country, featuring 14,203 runners and walkers in 2004.

This juried contest is free and open to all. The jury will be looking for one dynamic image to represent the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k as both a poster and a t-shirt. The winner of the contest will receive $500, 20 posters and 24 t-shirts. Richmonder Anneli Kirby was the winner of the inaugural contest in 2003.
