Destination Cure-The Race Against MS TM, a national non-
profit dedicated to raising money for Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
research, has announced a partnership with the Marine Corps
Marathon (MCM). With the partnership, Destination Cure
receives 50 of the coveted race bibs for the October 30
marathon in our Nation's Capitol and provides MCM with a truly
motivational speaker and a high profile team of runners. Motivational speaker Nick Irons, the author of "Swim Lessons:
10 Secrets for Making Any Dream Come True," will be at the MCM
Runners' Expo. Nick's presentation will include highlights
from 'Swim Lessons,' an amazing story of his 1550-mile swim
down the Mississippi River to raise awareness for Multiple
Sclerosis, the debilitating disease his father lives with every
day.
The Destination Cure team of MCM runners will include David
Conrad, a co-star in the film "Men of Honor," and a star in the
upcoming CBS series "Ghost Whisperer." Additionally, several of
the recently named Timex Top Performers will also be
participating in the MCM. Timex recently partnered with
Destination Cure to identify top performers--ordinary people
who do extraordinary things and embody the Timex Ironman way of
life everyday with passion, drive, quality and dependability -
the same types of people involved in Destination Cure.
To learn more about the Destination Cure MCM team, please visit
www.destinationcure.com or call (571) 276-
4820. Destination Cure runners are required to raise $750 in
contributions, with 100% going toward MS research. As of June
11th, there is a waiting list for bibs; if you would like to
join the waiting list please send an email to mcm2005@destinationcure.

"Destination Cure is very grateful to the MCM for supporting
our MS research efforts," said John Guandolo, founder and
president of Destination Cure and a former Marine Corps
Officer. "We look forward to exceeding last year's
contributions so we can further support promising MS research--
efforts that are getting the MS community closer to a cure
every day." Guandolo added, "It's this notion that drives
everyone involved with raising contributions for Destination
Cure--from participating in marathons, to triathlons to
community events--and we won't stop until a cure is found."
"I'm pleased the MCM can help John Guandolo and Destination
Cure in the quest to raise funds and awareness for MS
research," said Rick Nealis, Race Director, MCM. "Destination
Cure's persistent efforts to support MS research until a cure
is found, embodies the spirit in which the MCM is based:
dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism."
About Multiple Sclerosis
MS is a chronic unpredictable neurological disease that can
cause blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination,
slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems
with memory and concentration, paralysis, stiffness, bladder
problems, and blindness. These problems may be permanent, or
they may come and go. Most people with MS are diagnosed
between the ages of 20 and 40, but the unpredictable physical
and emotional effects can be life-long. The progress, severity,
and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be
predicted. Many neurologists believe over one million
Americans currently have MS, twice as many women as men, but
only 400,000 have been diagnosed. Neurologists estimate that
over 2.5 million individuals, worldwide, have MS.

and not simply exist,' and to make a difference in their lives
by making a difference in the lives of others. Destination
Cure, a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit, uniquely donates 100% of its
