The Co-Directors of the Athens Health Services Sports Massage Team
2004 are
proud to announce that Terrel Hale of Rockville, Maryland has been selected
as one of the
100 international sports massage therapists who will provide sports massage
to
the athletes of the Athens 2004 Olympics.Terrel Hale was selected from over 500 applicants from 12 countries
who had to
demonstrate a high level of mastery in sports massage techniques and who
also
had professional experience with elite athletes or at national or
international sporting events and championships.
Members of the team will work as a part of the Athens Olympic
Committee's
Medical and Health Services Team that will administer healthcare services at
all training venues, competition venues, and in the Athlete's Residential
Village. The sports massage team will provide daily service from the
opening
of the Village (July 30th) through the end of the Olympics (August 29th).
Terrel Hale works as a massage therapist at the Washington Sports
Club in North Bethesda and out of his home in Rockville and specializes in
sports massage and deep tissue work. He has been licensed/certified since
2003 and is a professional member of The American Massage Therapy
