The early registration period for the 2005 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival ends on July 1. Currently, the registration fee for the Under Armour Baltimore Marathon is $70, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Half-Marathon is $50, and Legg Mason Funds Team Relay is $45 per person and the United Way 5K is $35. To sign up for all races go to www.thebaltimoremarathon.com . After the July 1 early registration deadline, fees for all races, except for the 5K, increase by $10.

The 2005 Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 15 beginning at 8 a.m. with races starting and finishing at M&T Bank Stadium. After nearly 10,000 runners participating last year, Corrigan Sports Enterprises, the event's organizers, are expecting nearly 13,000 participants for one of the city's premier events. The annual event draws over 300,000 spectators to the Inner Harbor. Registration for this year's event is up 45 percent compared to this point last year.

This year's version of the festival will feature special activities and have fun items around the course to commemorate the race's fifth anniversary. All participants in the marathon, half-marathon, team relay and 5K receive a free performance apparel shirt courtesy of Baltimore-based Under Armour.
