Loudoun Race Series

Loudoun Race Series

Five Events . . . Six Distances . . . One Great Award!
By Amy Grabowski, YMCA Loudoun County
March 4, 2007
Leesburg, VA
For the Washington Running Report

The Harris Teeter YMCA Leesburg 10K & 20K race committee is happy to announce its involvement in the first-ever Loudoun Race Series. The series includes the following Loudoun County Races: Van Metre 5-Mile Run for Children's Hospital (March 10), Run for the Shelter Half-Marathon & 5K (April 15), Potomac River Running Twilight Festival 4-Miler (June 23), the Harris Teeter YMCA Loudoun County Leesburg 10K & 20K (August 12), and concludes with the Stone Ridge 5K Race for Education (October 13).

Five events, six distances, one great award! Participate in all five of the events and receive a special commemorative award. Can't run them all? Finish three races and you will still earn a reward for your participation. Also, accumulate points for your race performance and qualify for series-wide performance awards--the more races you run the better your chances to win. We can't reveal the prizes yet, but check the Washington Running Report in May for final details.

We hope to see you on March 10 in the Broadlands for the first stop in the Loudoun Race Series: Van Metre 5-Mile Run for Children's Hospital.

For information about each race in the series, and links to their Web sites, see the Loudoun Race Series Web site.

For further information about the series, please contact Ray Pugsley via e-mail or (703) 582-5132.
