Race Director Ron Horn, Pretzel City Sports, said the race will
follow the Thun Trail, cross the Schuylkill River to paved
trails and roads near Reading Area Community College, and
return to finish on the new Thun Trail pedestrian bridge that
crosses Lancaster Avenue. The walk will follow part of the race
route and also the West Reading Playground. Horn said runners
last year praised the course as being fast and scenic.
Numerous prizes will be awarded to male and female runners in
six age categories. Prizes will also go to the oldest and
youngest male and female race finishers.
All proceeds from the run will benefit Schuylkill Riverfront
restoration and development projects.
