RRCA Executive Director Search
From the official press release November 6, 2003 Alexandria, VA For the Washington Running Report
Road Runners Club of America President Freddi Carlip announced
the formation of an Executive Director Search Committee
consisting of Julia Emmons, Bill Roe, Mike Cook, and Jan Seeley,
with Tom Fort serving as Chairman.The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) is looking for an
Executive Director. RRCA, a national association of more than
600 running clubs with more than 140,000 runners as members, is
seeking a dynamic and effective leader to serve as Executive
Director. The candidate selected will oversee all operations and
organizational activities of the national office located in
Alexandria, Virginia. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's
degree and demonstrated success in management and development,
preferably in directing or participating in the growth of a
mature organization. Strong leadership, management and
communications skills, successful development and fundraising
experience, and the ability to travel are also required.
Non-profit management experience a plus. RRCA offers a competitive salary and benefits package
