Join the New York Road Runners for the first annual Thomas G.
Labrecque Classic on Sunday, November 20 at 8:00 am in
Washington, DC's West Potomac Park. Runners will compete for a total prize purse of $4,000 with the
top male and female winning $1,000 each. Second and third place
will receive $600 and $400 respectively! All entrants will
receive a technical race shirt. Prizes will also be awarded to
age group winners to 90 and above!
The event includes a 4-mile competitive race and a 2-mile Health
Walk, which will start at 8:05 am. The event benefits lung
cancer research.
The 4-mile run course is an out-and-back on a very flat, fast
course. From the start in West Potomac Park, just south of the
Lincoln Memorial, runners will cross the Inlet Bridge and run
along the Potomac River, almost to the tip of Hains Point in
East Potomac Park. Reverse direction at the 2-mile mark, and
return to the finish line in West Potomac Park. The Health Walk
starts and finishes at the same place as the race, and follows a
route around the Jefferson Memorial.
