Capital Club Run for READ
Richmond, VA
October, 2002
For the Washington Running Report

A Run for Literacy
The 2002 Capital Club Run for READ will be held on Saturday, October 19th along Richmond's canal walk, Brown's Island and Belle Isle. Walkers, joggers and runners are all encouraged to participate in this 5K (3.1 mile) event, in support of the READ Center.

Early registration is $15 per person; $20 per person after September 28th. The first 250 participants will receive a T- shirt and all participants will be served breakfast on the day of the Run. Team entries are welcomed, with awards to be given for the largest team and the team that raises the most money.

So, come out and enjoy a stroll along the canal during the 3rd Annual Capital Club Run for READ! For more information, contact the Run's Race Chair, Julie Walker at 739-4344.

With locations in Chesterfield, Hanover, and Richmond, the READ (Reading & Education for Adult Development) Center offers adult literacy services through one-to-one tutoring programs.
